Steppe - Wild Water - Jungle - Desert - High Mountens
From 1977 to 1992, his expeditions always lead him to extremly divers climate zones.

His personal highlights are:
Landrover Expedition to the Tuareg in the Sahara over several weeks
(one car, no radio set or satellite navigation – South Algeria)
Backpacking tour through Central Sahara for two month
(two people, pack weight limited to 12kg for each)
Winter crossing of the Ganja La in the Himalayas/Nepal
(Winter trekking with minimal equipment at temperatures around
minus 23 Grad Celsius)
First navigation of two wild water-rafting routes in Eastern Turkey (military controlled zone, one inflatable boat, three people, black sea, mountains)
Jungle expedition to the Babinga pygmies in Central Africa (three people with backpacks in the Central African Republic and the Congo)
Kalahari expedition to !Kung bushmens (three people, one car, in the dry season in Botswana)
